Whilst here at Mind, Hair & Soul I create gorgeous hair so do many other salons. However Mind, Hair & Soul is not your traditional salon. I do not work like a conveyor belt trying to get people in and out as quickly as possible. When my clients come to the salon they get a very personal and detailed level of customer service. The salon is a gorgeous intimate space, tucked away in a little courtyard to allow women to truly relax. I have worked hard to create an easy-going atmosphere with the client in mind using small details such as frosting out the shop window, not having a traditional bulky reception desk, and having comfy armchairs that the clients can relax in when waiting for their service or even during development, providing hot towels after hair washing and décor that’s softer than your usual hair salon.

Whilst creating a home away from home feel, I have not sacrificed on luxury. I have considered all of the senses within the salon such as lovely smelling candles, good music (where the clients can request to listen to a particular station or song if they wish), a fantastic high-end boutique product range, and a prime refreshment station (because great coffee is a must!).

When it comes to carrying out the service I will always do a detailed consultation bouncing ideas back and forth with my client. My clients benefit from a transparent and in-depth conversation about limitations, possibilities, options and pricing. As I strongly feel that the health of the hair will ultimately make or break good hair, I am very thorough during the service itself with the average colouring/lightening appointment taking four-five hours. This is because I typically carry out specialised package services and insist on glossing and bonding/conditioning services if that’s what their hair needs for their desired result.
